Successful people tend to be hyper competitive and upwardly mobile and ambitious, which means that they are constantly comparing themselves to people who are even more successful. There is plenty of research out there that shows that this type of comparison leads to unhappiness. No matter how much you succeed, there’ll always be someone else who’s done better. Successful and/or ambitious people need to learn to understand success in a healthy way.
